Partner links

For happypathapps.co.uk and our apps. Last updated 30 October 2026.

The short version
  • Some of our pages and apps link to a partner's site. These links are adverts: we're paid a commission if you book.
  • Each one is labelled "Partner · Ad". On this website, each sits beside a free way to do the same thing.
  • A partner link takes you to the partner's site through a network that records the click, so a booking can be credited to us.
  • Our link carries our account number with the network and a short label for where the link was. Nothing about you.
  • The pages you read on this site set no cookies and load nothing from other companies.

A partner link goes first to an affiliate network, the company that runs the partner's programme, and then straight on to the partner's site. The network records the click so that, if you book, the booking is credited to us.

Our link carries our account number with the network, and a short label for where the link was, so we can tell our links apart. It holds nothing about you.

The network tells us when a booking came through one of our links, so that we can be paid.

The network and the partner each have their own privacy policy, which says what they collect and for how long. They are listed below.

Every partner link we use, where it is, and the network it goes through:

  • Fixter, for booking an MOT, through Awin. On this website: the guide Before your MOT. In an app: Roadworthy, on a car's MOT card. Fixter's privacy policy says it may collect details such as your IP address, your location, your device and browser, and the "referral source", which we take to be how it knows you came from us. Fixter's privacy policy.

When an app offers a partner link, that app's own privacy policy says what the app sends and when: Roadworthy.

The networks we use

  • Awin. Its privacy policy says the main ways it tracks are cookies served from its own domain, a "Journey Tag" on the partner's site, and fingerprinting, which identifies a device "by considering certain attributes of the browser or the device". It says it "doesn't know who the end user is", and that in general it keeps tracking data for up to three years, after which it is deleted or anonymised, though in limited circumstances it may keep some, pseudonymised, for up to five years. To object to its tracking, write to its data protection officer at global-privacy@awin.com. Awin's privacy policy.

Your choices

You don't have to use a partner link, and nothing else on our pages or in our apps depends on your using one.

You can object to a network's tracking at the address listed above, and block or clear cookies in your browser's settings.

Changes to this page

When we add or remove a partner link or a network, this page changes with it and the date above is updated.
